Dr Daryn Bikey – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Daryn Bikey has been a board-certified specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery since 2015 and he feels extremely fortunate to call Victoria and Vancouver Island home. Prior to settling in Victoria, Dr. Bikey maintained a busy private practice in Toronto and was a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto, involved with training residents in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program.
Dr. Bikey’s roots stem back to small-town Saskatchewan, where he spent his youth. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Following this he completed a 1-year General Practice Residency at the University of Toronto, which was based out of Mount Sinai Hospital. During the 1-year GPR, Dr. Bikey gained further knowledge and experience while working with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training program, the multi-disciplinary Craniofacial Pain Clinic, the Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities program and persons who are medically compromised.
Subsequently, Dr. Bikey went on to complete 4 years of surgery training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto and trained at some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country – Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. In addition to his surgical training, he earned a master’s degree completed in the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Bikey practices full scope contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His surgical interests are in the areas of wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, graft-less dental implant solutions, soft and hard tissue augmentation, extraction site preservation.
Dr. Bikey strives to provide his patients with the highest level of care. An empathetic and considerate surgeon, Dr. Bikey understands the typical worries that accompany a visit to an oral surgeon’s office. His kind and compassionate demeanor consistently place patients at ease.
In his spare time Dr. Bikey enjoys hiking, personal fitness, and spending time with his wife and two boys.
